1. Who we are
Slightly Technical LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("we", "us") is the controller of personal data processed through this website. For any privacy matter, contact privacy@slightlytechnical.rs.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name and email address when you submit the contact, coaching, store-notification, or email-signup forms, together with whatever you write in the message fields.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps) for security and operations.
- If — and only if — you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records usage statistics: pages visited, referrer, approximate location (country or city, derived from a truncated IP address), device and browser class, and a random identifier that tells returning browsers apart. Until you accept, the analytics script does not load at all. We run it with all advertising features disabled — no ads personalisation, no audience building, no cross-site signals.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, no passwords, no membership profiles.
- No advertising or marketing pixels of any kind, and no advertising use of analytics data.
- No payment details — donations happen entirely on Stripe's or PayPal's own sites, under their privacy policies.
3. Why we process it
- To answer messages you send us (contract/legitimate interest).
- To email you the updates you explicitly asked for — one-field signup, no pre-ticked boxes, unsubscribe any time (consent).
- To keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest).
- To understand, in aggregate, which articles are read (consent).
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
4. Service providers
Personal data is shared only with the processors that run the site:
- Netlify — website hosting and form-submission handling (form data is stored in Netlify's form inbox).
- Stripe and PayPal — donation processing on their own platforms; we receive confirmation, not card data.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — aggregate usage measurement, only after your consent, under Google's data processing terms. Google may process this data in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- YouTube — embedded videos load only after you press play; until then no data flows to YouTube from these pages.
Providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, with applicable legal safeguards.
5. Retention
Form submissions are kept as long as the conversation or signup is live and deleted when no longer needed. Email-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs rotate on our host's standard schedule. Google Analytics event data is retained for at most 14 months — the shortest retention Google offers — and you can withdraw analytics consent at any time on the cookie policy page.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. The full list and how to exercise them: Your Privacy Rights. Requests go to privacy@slightlytechnical.rs.
7. Security & children
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. This site is not directed at children under 16; if such data reaches us, we delete it.
8. Changes
We'll update this page when the practices change and adjust the date above. Significant changes get a visible note.
